What We Stand For
IrespectU wants to build bridges between people of different cultures through respectful interaction. To us, the term “Respect” is much more than a popular slogan.
IrespectU does not follow a political agenda. The individual person is at the center of our work. We want to avoid and reduce stereotypes and bias, widely spread not only between the different people groups of the Middle East, but also in our interaction as Westerners with the people of this region. In particular, antisemitism and discrimination of any kind should be prevented.
We want to honor diversity and differences and take them seriously; however, we are also determined to see this as an opportunity to learn from each other.
The former Israeli President, Mr. Shimon Peres, brilliantly characterized: „Everyone should have the equal right to be different.“
